Our Built-Up Roofing Services
Aside from built-up roofing installation, repair, and replacement, Vincent’s Roofing, Inc., offers several other services related to built-up roofing:
- Hot Mopping is the most common way to perform a built-up roof job. It requires that a hot layer of sealant (usually asphalt felt) be poured onto the finished roof, after which a mop is used to spread it around the area. Hot mop roofing is durable, and often protects the roof for up to 15 years.
- Cold Process is a second way to perform built-up roofing projects. Similar to hot mopping, a layer of asphalt adhesives is spread on the roof – no heat is required, hence the name.
- Torch Down is similar to hot mopping, as heat is required – however, in torch down or “torch on” roofing, the sealing process is executed by a roofing professional using a handheld blowtorch.
